RESURRECTION - WATERSHIELD #61 & #62

RESURRECTION - WATER SHIELD #61 & #62 oil on linen 6"x6" 2014 I will now present a series of magnified views of the Water Shield plant (Brasenia schreberi). It grows in the local ponds of Vermont and evolves into fantastic patterns and colors in the autumn, only to eventually sink to the bottom of the pond where it regenerates new life. Hence, resurrection.

STUDIO VIEW - RESURRECTION SERIES - These are just 60 of my series of 6x6" oil on linen series of magnified decaying leaves. I call it the resurrection series because new life springs from the old.
