RESURRECTION #1 & #2

RESURRECTION #1 & #2 oil on linen 6"x6" This is a new group of "Resurrection" paintings that appeared in my Soho20 show. There are a lot of them (60), so I will be posting them two at a time. This is the work that I am really interested in right now. I often walk around and see the colorful dying leaves and think "Who needs art". Well I guess that I do, because I feel compelled to paint them in detail and put them where other people will see them.

INSTALLING THE SHOW

INSTALLING THE SHOW This is my son Abe, who is helping me to install my show at Soho20. We have lined up the paintings in order and are considering how to hang them.

PERSEPHONE - SHE'S BACK

PERSEPHONE - SHE'S BACK oil on canvas 24"x30" 2013 This is the last large canvas from my show. It adds a note of optimism to the other darker, grimmer works.

THEY PASSED WITH NOSES IN THE AIR

THEY PASSED WITH NOSES IN THE AIR oil on canvas 34"x30" Another painting from my show at Soho20. The title is a line from the A. A. Milne poem "King John's Christmas".
