TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL oil on canvas 24"x30" This painting will also be in my show at Soho20 in NYC from October 1st - 26th.

SUPER CELL

SUPER CELL oil on canvas 30"x36" 2013 I am having a show titled "IN A DANGEROUS TIME" in October at Soho20 gallery in NYC. The next group of paintings that I will present are in that show. The theme of the show is the peril that we and previous generations have left to our children. But there is a strong element of hope as represented by the children themselves. Also, I will be showing 60 more of my little dead leaf paintings, which I am now calling the resurrection series because from the decaying leaves, new life arises. There are 7 large paintings and 60 tiny ones. This is a lot of work to present, so here goes.

RESURRECTION # 44

RESURRECTION # 44 oil on canvas 6"x6" This is the last in this first resurrection series. But I am continuing another large group of them. I really like doing them and am now using a better quality linen canvas.

PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD #3

PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD #3 oil on canvas 54"x40" This is the latest version of Persephone. I have a little more to do on the rocks.

PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD - STEP 2

PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD - STEP 2 oil on canvas 54"x40" Here, I have blocked in where I want the lights and darks to be in the background.

STEP ONE

PERSEPHONE IN THE UNDERWORLD oil on canvas 54"x40" This is a first sketch of a series that I am planning to illustrate Persephone's trip through the underworld. Here she finds herself in a strange place and doesn't know what to do next.

UNDERGROUND

UNDERGROUND oil on canvas 40"x30" This is something completely different from what I have been showing with the Resurrection series tiny paintings of decomposing leaves. It is a semi abstract painting inspired by the feeling one gets while in a slot canyon in Arizona.
