RESURRECTION #1 & #2 oil on linen 6"x6" This is a new group of "Resurrection" paintings that appeared in my Soho20 show. There are a lot of them (60), so I will be posting them two at a time. This is the work that I am really interested in right now. I often walk around and see the colorful dying leaves and think "Who needs art". Well I guess that I do, because I feel compelled to paint them in detail and put them where other people will see them.

SUPER CELL

SUPER CELL oil on canvas 30"x36" 2013 I am having a show titled "IN A DANGEROUS TIME" in October at Soho20 gallery in NYC. The next group of paintings that I will present are in that show. The theme of the show is the peril that we and previous generations have left to our children. But there is a strong element of hope as represented by the children themselves. Also, I will be showing 60 more of my little dead leaf paintings, which I am now calling the resurrection series because from the decaying leaves, new life arises. There are 7 large paintings and 60 tiny ones. This is a lot of work to present, so here goes.
